Justice Support Centre is a not-for-profit community legal centre. Our Annual Reports explain the impact our services have for our clients each year, as well as the major challenges facing our clients and services.
In this report, we’ve shared stories from our clients that illustrate the life-changing and sometimes life-saving services provided by our program teams. We support clients impacted by family violence to access financial support to feed their children, move house or install security devices to keep themselves safe at home.
Our Centre exists to provide equitable and accessible legal services and to empower women and children to break the cycle of domestic and family violence (DFV) – a global pandemic was never going to be a roadblock for our dedicated staff, who are absolutely committed to making a difference in the community.
All staff and board members have shown an unwavering commitment to providing the best possible support for clients and for each other, despite the restrictions of the global pandemic. Thank you in particular to our leadership team and their assistant managers who have adapted our services and supported staff to continue delivering effective advice, advocacy and referrals.
We produce regular reports on the impact our services have for our clients, the major challenges facing our clients and our plans for change.
We advocate to government to improve outcomes for our clients. Find out about our latest advocacy, media releases and policy submissions.
We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands, skies and waterways in which we live and work, the Gadigal, Cabrogal, Darug and Eora people. We pay our respects to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients, partners and community leaders.
